Annette Warren

Annette Warren has been a popular cabaret and recording star since she was first discovered by vocal coach Phil Moore in 1945. She is a classically-trained pianist as well as singer, and has recorded for such labels as MGM, ABC Paramount and Capitol. She has performed throughout the world in leading clubs and theaters, but is perhaps most famous for the dubbing work she did in Hollywood, providing the singing voices for Ava Gardner in "Show Boat" and Lucille Ball in both "Fancy Pants" and "Sorrowful Jones". Other dubbing work includes Iris Adrian in "The Paleface" and UPA's classic cartoon version of the Frankie and Johnny legend entitled "Rooty Toot Toot." Annette was married for 55 years to legendary jazz pianist Paul Smith, with whom she often recorded and performed.
